(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba-Sutter unemployment rate continues to rise.

The February numbers, just released by the State Employment Development Department show Yuba-Sutter’s combined rate just shy of double-digits, at 9.6%, up .3% from last month, and a full percentage point higher than February of last year.

Individually, Sutter County’s unemployment rate last month did hit double-digits at 10.2%, while Yuba County was significantly lower at 8.6%.

The state rate last month was 5.6%, while the national rate was 4.2%.
