(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – At their meeting this week, the Yuba County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved purchasing four parcels of land, totaling 18.6 acres for $3.3-million. The County Administrator tells The Appeal-Democrat the adjacent parcels, bordered by North Beale Road, Avondale Avenue & Hammond-Smartsville Road are “largely vacant save for some unstable structures” and are zoned for general commercial use.

The administrator noted the property “is really a prime location for redevelopment” and that the purchase is “in the spirit of economic development and trying to improve our communities.”
