(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — Parts of the Sacramento Valley, including the Yuba-Sutter area, are under a wind advisory until five o’clock this afternoon. The wind advisory is in place in certain areas from Sacramento to Red Bluff and includes parts of the Delta Region up to the Carquinez Strait. Forecasters are calling for sustained winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour and gusts as strong as 45 miles per hour.

The strongest winds are expected alongside and west of Interstate 5. The National Weather Service says the wind will be strong enough to potentially knock down trees and knock out power.
