(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Sutter County Public Health has issued a “Make Water Safe During an Emergency” advisory, presumably as a result of the Sutter County Administrator Officer proclaiming a local state of emergency, due to storm-related water issues, “enabling the county to receive state & federal resources if necessary.”

The Sutter County Public Health notice goes on to state, in part, “after a disaster or emergency, tap water may not be safe to use.” It goes on to say “always listen to your local authorities for specific advice” and adds, “Use bottled water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth if possible. If bottled water is not available choose one of the following methods to make your water free of bacteria, viruses and parasites: boil, disinfect, or filter.”
