(Tahoe City, CA) — A record number of bears were evicted from buildings in the Tahoe area during the winter. The BEAR League says it helped remove more than 100 bears from homes, churches and other buildings. There were a few days when members of the organization dealt with up to eight bears per day.

Many of the bears were found in the crawl spaces under buildings and under decks.
