Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Millions of dollars in federal so-called “Green Means Go” funds are being allocated to Yuba-Sutter, through the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, which has received $22.5-million of the total $236-million federal grant fund.

Local allocations include $1/2-million to Marysville’s “Re-envision Downtown” plan, $3/4-million to Yuba City for the Central City Specific Plan update & bike/pedestrian expansion, and $3-million to Yuba City for design & engineering of the Lindhurst Corridor Revitalization Project, according to The Appeal-Democrat.

The federal funding is earmarked for “reconnecting communities that were cut off by transportation infrastructure decades ago.”
