(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – At their meeting this week, the Marysville School District Board voted unanimously to increase developer fees in an effort to boost funds for new schools and reconstruction of existing facilities, after the $97-million Measure S bond failed to pass last month.

Residential developer fees within the Marysville School District are going up to a $5.17 per square foot, from $4.79, while commercial and individual developer fees will rise 6-cents, to 84 cents per square foot, “except for rental self-storage facilities” according to The Appeal-Democrat. The paper also reports the district brought in $1-million-600-thousand in developer fees last year.
