(Butte County, CA) – In Butte County Court yesterday, 35-year-old Jose Florendino Tellez Garcia of Gridley was sentenced to 16 years in state prison for his part in a crime spree last August and September. He was found guilty on 2 counts of grand theft, 3 counts of grand theft auto and identity theft.

His spree started August 9th when he stole $950 worth of hunting equipment from a Gridley home, then continued a few days later when he stole a snowmobile from another home about a mile away. In September he stole and was caught driving an F-250. Less than a week later, he filled up a stolen Toyota pickup with a stolen credit card and the very next day, was caught in a stolen Chevy Silverado with the keys from the stolen pickup still inside.
