(Los Angeles, CA) — The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a 4.2 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Malibu early this morning. Residents of Los Angeles took to social media to report being awoken by the rumbling.

Now reports of aftershocks are coming in. Minutes after the initial earthquake at 2 a.m., officials say a 3.5 quake registered, followed by a 2.8 magnitude.
