(Yuba-Sutter, CA) –- The Yuba County Sheriff’s office reports a couple of copper wire theft arrests during a targeted rural patrol effort last Friday night.

Deputies observed two men on bicycles matching the description of recent wire theft suspects caught on a trail cam. The deputies made contact with the two: 23-year-old Fernando Hernandez and 49-year-old Marcos Martinez, both transient, according to a press release. Evidence was quickly gathered and identified, connecting the two to wire theft crimes at which time they were taken into custody without incident.

A search warrant was also served at the campsite where they were living and additional evidence was collected.
