(Sacramento, CA) — Caltrans is asking for more than 20-million-dollars over the next two years to clear homeless encampments throughout California.

Officials with the California Department of Transportation are also asking the state for six-million dollars to help fund their recently established Office of Homelessness and Housing Solutions. The funding would be used to work on long term solutions to homelessness.
