(Sacramento, CA) — Twenty-seven people have been arrested in connection with a human trafficking investigation in Sacramento County. The arrests, announced Monday, are connected with an operation conducted by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office last Friday.

The suspects are accused of paying for sex with money, drugs, and in one case, a chicken sandwich. They were actually negotiating with undercover deputies.

Deputies also seized 22 vehicles during the operation
