(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – In a special vote yesterday, the Yuba Water Agency Board of Directors approved an out-of-budget expenditure of $150,000 for two new Yuba County Sheriff’s Department vehicles. They will be used for patrol & enforcement in and around Yuba Water’s foothills facilities, according to The Appeal-Democrat.
The agency’s Assistant General Manager tells the paper the $150,000 also includes “paying for the services of 2 deputies and equipment to make sure the sheriff can respond quickly in case of an emergency or other incident.”
