(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – At their meeting yesterday, the Yuba Water Agency Board of Directors voted to allocate $1.8-million to the Browns Valley Irrigation District. The money will be used to upgrade and modernize its hydropower facility at Collins Lake Virginia Ranch Dam.

They also moved forward with plans to relocate Yuba Water’s current headquarters “from an aging building adjacent to New Colgate Powerhouse at the base of Lake Francis Road,” which is “no longer adequate to accommodate the agency’s current staff and future hires,” to a new “$35-million to $45-million” building on Marysville Road in Oregon House.
