(NorCal, CA) – DWR yesterday conducted the first snow survey of 2024 and reported the northern measurement at Phillips Station is just 30% of the beginning of the year average, and statewide it is only at 25%.
A year ago the statewide snowpack survey was at 185% of the beginning of the year average.
Meanwhile, Lake Oroville is currently at 818 feet, 82 feet below capacity, 130% of the beginning of the year average, while Lake Shasta is at 69& of capacity, 116% of the beginning of year average.
