(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – At their first meeting of 2023, the Yuba Water Agency Governing Board approved an additional $1-million-dollars in funding for continued flood risk reduction work and levee improvements for South Yuba County, adding to their previously committed $9-million-dollars enabling Yuba Water & the Three Rivers Levee Improvement Authority to qualify for up to $41.6-million-dollars in state and federal matching funds.
The goal is to “significantly” increase the current 200-year level of flood protection for Olivehurst, Linda, Arboga and Plumas Lake according to a press release.
