(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba-Sutter Transit revealed a draft proposal for service to Sacramento on Monday, as well as updating schedule changes and suspension of some local routes. The Appeal-Democrat reports that over the past three years, ridership has dropped following the COVID pandemic, requiring “reductions and adjustments.”

Following survey responses and an analysis of ‘ridership patterns and traffic conditions’ the draft will reportedly include “elimination of the six schedules suspended during the pandemic, which are the third Highway 99, third Highway 70 and fifth Highway 99 morning routes and the second Highway 99, third Highway 70 and fifth Highway 99 afternoon commuter routes” according to the paper.

A public hearing for a final draft is scheduled for September 21st, at 6:00 p.m. at the Yuba County Government Center on 8th Street in Marysville. That meeting will include input from the public. To comment, you can email to: info@yubasuttertransit.com.
