(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba County’s Ag Commissioner has released the 2022 Ag Report, and it shows a significant drop in total value from 2021, just shy of double-digits at 9%.
In the release, the Yuba County’s Ag Commissioner says the majority of the decrease was due to “lower quantity prices for walnuts” which dropped to 4th overall at 21-million, down from 2nd in 2021 at 55-million.
Rice was again the number one crop last year for Yuba County, bringing in $113-million, followed by prunes and nuts combined at $28-million.
Overall, rice and peach prices were up, while prunes, almonds, walnuts and kiwi fell.
