(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – At their meeting this morning, the Yuba County Board of Supervisors will consider contributing as much as a quarter-million-dollars toward the estimated $800,000 cost to remove the top story of the Hotel Marysville. Caltrans has indicated the removal of that floor would allow them the safety measures necessary to fully reopen E Street.
Last week, the Marysville City Council directed the City Manager to begin securing financing and contracts, in an effort to get abatement process going.
The Yuba Water Agency is also reportedly considering contributing to the cost of the short-term solution.
