(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba County has officially sworn in its first Court Appointed Special Advocates, part of a national CASA program to assist foster children, that includes trained volunteers spending time weekly with at-risk children. They can thereby provide more detailed reports to judges overseeing a particular child’s case.

It’s all part of an effort to make more informed decisions about a child’s welfare going forward.

There will be an informational meeting this afternoon, starting at 5:00, at the special advocate’s new office, 628 D Street, Marysville. Or, you are encouraged to contact Nicole Rubio via email at; Nicole@casayyuna.org
