(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba County Sheriff is issuing a copper wire theft warning “especially to those in agriculture” due to a recent surge in which thousands of dollars worth have been stolen throughout the county. The warning release notes it’s a nationwide problem due to ever higher prices being paid my metal recyclers & distributers.

You’re urged to report any copper theft or suspicious activity on your property to law enforcement “as it can greatly assist in the allocation of investigative resources.” You’re also asked to share any surveillance images of previous copper theft with law enforcement, if you haven’t already.
