(Shasta County, CA) – A suspect currently on parole for a bank robbery in Yuba County six years ago, is now wanted for the alleged attempted robbery of a U.S. Bank branch in Shasta County last Friday.
The Anderson Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Dustin Smith, who reportedly handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller “did not comply” according to Action News, and Smith fled “after being confronted by other customers.”
Police are urging the public not to attempt to make contact with Smith.
