(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba County has successfully applied for a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to study whether repairs, or replacement of the Simpson Lane Bridge will be needed.
In awarding the county $400,000 for the study work, federal officials rated the bridge “poor” and “unstable.” Yuba County’s Public Information Officer tells The Appeal-Democrat that “while the bridge has has some repair work done recently it still requires more attention.”
