(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County District Attorney’s office reports the arrest of 68-year-old Vicki Hedden of Yuba City, formerly of Oroville, in connection with the double-fatal DUI collision June 9th on HWY 99 just north of Paseo Avenue. That accident resulted in the deaths of 21-year-old Allyson Nevarro-Salazar and her 1-year-old daughter.

Hedden was traveling south at a high rate of speed, crossed the center line just north of Paseo, side-swiped a big-rig, then collided head-on with the victim’s vehicle.

Hedden was hospitalized at Sutter-Roseville for treatment of her injuries and released “approximately a week later” according to a press release. Her whereabouts were unknown until her arrest this past wednesday.

She is charged with two counts of 2nd degree murder, which were filed yesterday.
