(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Citing “significant issues” and complaints related to fireworks within the city limits, the Yuba City Council has unanimously voted to changing the municipal code “to limit the sale and use of fireworks for personal use” according to The Appeal-Democrat.
Sales and purchase of fireworks in Yuba City is now limited to noon to 11p.m. on June 28th, and 8a.m. To 11p.m. June 29th through July 4th.
Meanwhile, fireworks use within the city limits is limited from noon to 11p.m. June 29th through July 4th. Prior to the change – while the sale and purchase of fireworks was restricted – their use was not. Yuba City residents are also now prohibited from lighting fireworks within 10 feet of a residence.
