(City of Yuba City release) –The Shri Guru Ravidass Temple located on Hayne Avenue in Yuba City is holding a parade to honor the Birth of Shri Guru Ravidass, Vaisakhi, and Easter, on April 9, 2023. All are invited to attend and enjoy this community event.

Parade: The parade begins around 12 PM and follows an approximate 1-mile route from the Shri Guru Ravidass Temple on Hayne Avenue to Littlejohn Road to Countryside Drive to Berkshire Drive to Countryside Drive to Littlejohn Road and then returning to the temple on Hayne Avenue. The parade is anticipated to end by 4 PM.

Event Parking: Event parking is located at the vacant lot located at the southwest corner of Franklin Road and Walton Avenue and the front parking lot of Andros Karperos Middle School located on Walton Avenue at Camino De Flores. The streets along the parade route will be posted for no parking between the hours of 12 PM – 4 PM on Sunday, April 9th.

Street Closures: Drivers should expect traffic congestion and some streets to be closed. The area primarily affected is Franklin Road from Walton Avenue to Littlejohn Road and Walton Avenue from Franklin Road to Camino De Flores. Residents entering this area should take note of the following:

Hayne Avenue: CLOSED

Berkshire Drive: CLOSED

Countryside Drive: CLOSED

Littlejohn Road from Hayne Avenue to Countryside Drive: ONE LANE OPEN with flaggers to direct traffic Residents:

Residents in areas affected by street closures will not be allowed vehicular access during the parade. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
