(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville Police Department reports an attempted murder suspect has been arrested. Officers responded to a report of gunshots Labor Day evening at around 7:30, in the 700 block of 6th Street. A 40-year-old man had been shot and was critically wounded.
34-year-old Homero Carrasco was identified as the suspect, and he had fled the scene, escaping despite officers arriving within one minute of the call.
However, this past Monday, September 11th, Carrasco was arrested by Placer County Sheriff’s Deputies in Roseville, and was in possession of over three ounces of fentanyl. Marysville Police Detectives took Carrasco into custody and booked him into the Yuba County Jail.
The shooting victim is reportedly in critical but stable condition.
