(Sacramento, CA) – In Federal Court in Sacramento. 22-year-old Sukhmanpreet Singh Jawanda of Yuba City has been sentenced to ten years for trafficking fentanyl & firearms, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of California.
Two years ago, Jawanda sold fentanyl and six firearms to an undercover agent. He was arrested following a traffic stop on I-5 in San Joaquin County, where officers recovered 30,000 fentanyl pills, over two pounds of cocaine and a firearm.
The arrest, conviction and sentencing was the result of an investigation by the Yuba-Sutter Narcotics & Gang Enforcement Task Force (NET-5) with assistance from the CHP, ATF and the DEA.
