(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The United Way’s annual Spooktacular River Run 5K and 10K Walk/Run takes place tomorrow morning, and the Yuba City Police Department will be closing streets around Gauche Aquatic Park from 7:00 a.m until 11:00.
The following streets will be closed for the event: C Street between Wilbur Avenue and Emerson Avenue…Emerson Avenue between C Street and B Street…Eastbound on B Street to Second Street.
The 10k portion of the event, starting at 9:00, begins at Gauche Aquatic Park. The Appeal-Democrat reports “Participants will then proceed North on Emerson Avenue to B Street….East on B Street and to the Feather River West Levee…. North on the Levee to the 5th Street Bridge….East on the 5th Street Bridge to the East Levee…North on the East Levee to the 5th Street Bridge.”
Runners and walkers will then turn around, using the same route back.
Thereafter, at 9:30, the 5k version kicks off, also starting at Gauche Aquatic Park, then, “East on B Street and to the Feather River West Levee….North on the Feather River West Levee to Lynn Way.” Runners turn around at this point, also returning to GAP.
