(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – In its latest round of Environmental Improvement and Acquisition project funding, the Wildlife Conservation Board has announced that of the $83-million for 28 separate projects, $4-million has been granted to the South Yuba River Citizens League & Yuba Water Agency Cooperative Yuba River project.

The focus will be in an area around one mile north of Smartsville to increase spawning habitat, create backwater habitat and reduce bank erosion.
