(WHS Facebook release) – WUHSD was just awarded the winner of the 23-24 FAFSA/CADAA Homeless Challenge! This annual competition challenges school districts to help their students who are experiencing homelessness to complete their FAFSA before graduation, which helps students pay for college and career technical training. WUHSD had the HIGHEST response rate in the state compared to other very small schools!
Shoutout to our dedicated Community Schools staff, Mrs. Willey and Ms. Ibarra, for all their hard work in ensuring our homeless youth have equal opportunity for success in high school and after graduation. You both make such a difference and worked hard for this recognition!
