(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter-Yuba Mosquito and Vector Control District is confirming the first evidence of West Nile Virus in both Yuba & Sutter Counties this year.

Mosquito samples recently collected in the Tierra Buena area, Live Oak, Pleasant Grove and Hallwood all have tested positive. However, there have been no detections of West Nile Virus in dead birds, sentinel chicken flocks or humans.
