(Oroville, CA) – Lake Oroville has reached 90% capacity at 877 feet, 23 feet from the top, with inflow as high as 24,000 cubic feet per second over the past 12 hours. The high volume of water is due in part to snow-melt, accelerating rapidly with rising temperatures. Releases at last report were in the 15,000 cfs range.
To our north, Lake Shasta is at 96% capacity, with inflow as high as 14,648 cfs over the past 12 hours. Outflow was as low as 1,462 and as high as 12,787 cfs over the same period.
