(Davis, CA) — The Davis Police Department is investigating several instances of vandalism of Israeli flags as a hate crime. Police say multiple Israeli flags were sliced or taken from homes last Friday morning. Two incidents were caught on video.

One video shows a person with a large knife walking into a front yard in east Davis, cutting down an Israeli flag, then taking what was left of it. If caught, the person is expected to be charged with theft, vandalism and hate crimes.
