(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s office reports two separate unreleated felony arrests at around 1:30 yesterday morning.
32-year-old Joel Tinoco of Yuba City was pulled over at HWY 99 & Franklin, swerving from side to side, unable to remain in one lane. He was booked for DUI and being a felon in possession of an unregistered, unserialized handgun.
At the same time, a deputy approached a parked car near Whitaker Hall at the end of Second Street in Yuba City. Inside were 22-year-old Jose Gallardo, 23-year-old Heriberto Gallardo and 23-year-old Jose Salgado. An open container of alcohol was inside the vehicle and the three appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according to a press release.
Salgado is on probation out of Sutter County for assault with a deadly weapon.
The three were detained and a search of their vehicle turned up a 12-gauge shotgun shell and a box of ammunition determined to be Salgado’s.
Both of the Gallardo’s were released without charges and the father took possession of the vehicle.
