(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – CHP Yuba-Sutter reports a 55-year-old Olivehurst man was killed in a solo vehicle collision at around 1:20 Saturday morning as he was headed north on HWY 70, veered off the freeway to exit at Feather River Boulevard, and then lost control hitting several trees. His vehicle then rolled back onto 70 southbound, blocking both lanes.

The unidentified man sustained fatal injuries, but a good Samaritan stopped and flagged down a passing Bi-County Ambulance using a road flair. However, life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

Then, just a short time later before the collision scene was cleared, 20-year-old Shelby Little of Vacaville crashed into the Olivehurst man’s previously crashed vehicle.

Fortunately, none of the emergency personnel were hurt, nor, the good Samaritan. Little was arrested for DUI and booked into the Yuba County Jail, according to a release.
