(Plumas Lake, CA) – The Yuba County Sheriff’s office reports two arrests early yesterday morning in Plumas Lake, for alleged catalytic converter theft.

Deputies responded to a report of catalytic converter theft on Lakeport Avenue, but no suspects were located. However, around one hour later, a second call came in from Presidio Avenue and one of the deputies called a friend who lives there and asked him to look outside for the crime in progress. Sure enough, the friend said he could see two suspects and even heard the converter being cut from the vehicle.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they saw the suspects speeding off in a silver SUV and following a short pursuit the vehicle pulled over.

Sou Saetern and Stephanie Lozoya were booked on numerous theft & drug charges, and the catalytic converters were returned to the owners.
