(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – An undercover sting operation conducted by the Sutter County Sheriff’s office and the Contractors State License Board in Yuba City, has resulted in twelve arrests. However, no names have been provided at this time.

Bids ranged from $2,000 to $8,700 for painting, decks, concrete and tree trimmings.

Five of those arrested face additional penalties for requesting excessive down-payments, which cannot exceed 10% of the total bid, or $1,000, whichever is lower.

The twelve arrested face fines up to $15,000 and/or, jail time.
