(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Marysville’s Public Works Department has launched what is being called “traffic calming” efforts to slow down traffic cutting through 14th Street to avoid Highways 20 and 70 through town. That will include a temporary installation so you’ll only be able to turn right onto D Street from eastbound 14th Street, and D Street traffic will only be able to turn right onto 14th.
Meanwhile, westbound 14th Street commuters will have “no left turn” signs at D, delineators across the center line “as a physical deterrent” and a triangular striping island on D Street “to help orient cars for their right-in, right-out movement” according to an email to The Appeal-Democrat from Public Works Director Vincenzo Corazza.
