(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s Boat Patrol was called yesterday to the Sacramento River near Grimes to rescue a stranded California Department of Fish and Wildlife research boat. It had become caught up in log piles at the Tisdale Weir.
A press release from the Sutter County Sheriff’s office notes that the researchers were “grateful and appreciative of the team work between the agencies” and that the incident is a prime example of what the Sutter County Sheriff’s Boat Patrol Unit does throughout the year, reminding us to “stay safe on the water and wear your life jackets.”
