(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County Sheriff is issuing an important conceal/carry announcement.

Due to changes within SB2, the Department of Justice is now requiring all CCW applicants to be issued a card instead of a paper permit.

Effective next Thursday August 1st, all applications will need to be done online through ‘Permitium.’ They will no longer be accepting paper applications over the counter.

CCW holders that applied prior to 3/12/23 with a paper permit will not be required to get a replacement, but those registered after 3/12/24 will be contacted by the Records Unit.
