(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County District Attorney held a press conference yesterday in Yuba City, joined by numerous local, regional and state law enforcement officers. That also included California’s Attorney General, as they announced 17 arrests in a multi-jurisdictional gang violence investigation. That effort began with Yuba-Sutter’s Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Task Force – NET 5 – following a fist fight and sword attack at the Yuba-Sutter Sikh Festival, five years ago.
Twenty search warrants were served last weekend, resulting in the 17 arrests and 41 firearms seized.
In total, the violence between the so-called Ninta groups and AK-47 group resulted in ten separate shootings and incidents with eleven men shot and wounded.
