(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – More details on the bomb threat KUBA reported on for several hours mid-to-late yesterday morning, that prompted evacuations in a sizeable area of Yuba City.

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer reports several notes were found early yesterday morning that “alluded” to a potential bomb threat at the courthouse. The facility was then immediately evacuated and Butte & Sacramento County Explosive Ordinance Teams were called. Initial evacuations were ordered in the nearby area, but by 10:30 yesterday morning, they were expanded to a quarter-mile radius around the courthouse.

After approximately an hour, the EOD teams secured the scene and no threats were found. The courthouse resumed normal operations shortly after noon and Sutter County detectives are working to identify a suspect.
