(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – We at Results Radio received a very distressing email yesterday from our friend Theresa Spradley with Sutter Butters Canine Rescue that “with a heavy heart Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue has decided to close.”

The no-kill rescue launched over two decades ago, and has experienced an ever declining pool of volunteers, which prompted the closure of the fund-raising thrift shop a couple of years ago. As Theresa points out in that email, “Those of us involved are getting older, this is hard work and the cost of maintaining & volunteer help has made it very difficult to continue.”

Theresa notes that over the decades they have placed “well over 8,000 dogs, spaying, neutering and providing medical care, we can walk away knowing we made a difference in the community.”
