(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – If you’ve been near the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds in the last day or so, you may have noticed the parade of big rigs and RVs arriving, in preparations for the fair’s opening on Thursday. With the fair comes street closures in the immediate vicinity, as The Appeal-Democrat reports around 30,000 people are expected.

Franklin Avenue will be closed, from Wilbur to Woodbridge Avenue, at around 1:00am Thursday, and remain closed until approximately midnight Sunday. As well, traffic on surrounding streets, such as Wilbur, C Street, McRae Way, Garden Highway and Plumas Boulevard will be affected, with occasional bottlenecks during peak hours of the fair.

KUBA’s Willie B will broadcast live from the fair on Thursday, opening day, which also includes the Miss Teen and Miss Yuba-Sutter competition.
