(Sacramento, CA) — The Sacramento area is dealing with poor air quality due to smoke drifting over from the nearly three-thousand-acre Shoe Fire in Shasta County. The smoke made for air quality levels in and near the unhealthy range in several spots on Sunday afternoon.
The smell of smoke and a light haze were also reported in Downtown Sacramento and throughout the Yuba-Sutter area. The fire started last Wednesday in the Shasta Trinity National Forest. It was seven percent contained as of early this morning.
