(Sacramento, CA) — There are new developments in the death of a Grant Union High School student, who was gunned down the night before his graduation. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department now says the teen was trying to sell someone a fake gun in North Highlands on June 1st.

A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting. Detectives add that there’s no evidence suggesting the victim had a history of dealing guns.
