(Sacramento, CA) — Sacramento County now has its first Safe Stay Community for the homeless. The site at Power Inn and Florin Roads had its grand opening on Monday. It features 100 tiny homes — 75 of which can house one person, and 25 of which can house two people.

The county initially planned to open the community nine months ago. It will serve people already living in the area, which is just outside the southern limits of Sacramento.

The Safe Stay Community may see its first residents as soon as next week.
