(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – A Yuba County Sheriff’s deputy, responding to a call regarding two unresponsive people at Camp Far West early Saturday evening, was involved in a collision.
The accident occurred on HWY 65, which had “heavy hail” on it, according to CHP Yuba-Sutter. Both the deputy and the other driver involved were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The deputy was released later Saturday night, however, the status of the other driver is not provided.
Hwy 65 was closed for two hours, from Oakley Lane to Evergreen Drive for clean-up and investigation.
The two unresponsive people at Camp Far West had overdosed. No additional details have been provided at this time.
