(Sacramento, CA) — The National Weather Service is expanding red flag warnings to additional portions of Northern California, with elevated fire weather conditions now expected to continue through Tuesday.
The N-W-S Sacramento office issued the first Red Flag Warning of 2024 because of the anticipated weather and fuel conditions. The warning was already in effect in the Sacramento Valley including the Yuba-Sutter area, but was extended to the North Bay mountains, parts of the San Joaquin Valley and farther into Solano County as well.
In the Sacramento Valley including Yuba-Sutter, northern San Joaquin County and the delta region, a red flag warning is in effect and continues until 8 a.m. Tuesday. In the Bay Area, a red flag warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
